A university dropout, Sodiq Jimoh, has told operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Lagos that he is not an armed robber, but a killer.
Jimoh, a 28-year-old indigene of Lagos State, confessed that he was a member of Eiye Confraternity and was
responsible for the murder of many rival cult members.
According to Police authorities, the suspect, who is a trader at the Alaba International Market, was usually hired on contract by traders in the market to intimidate or kill rivals.
The suspect and others at large were said to have killed at least five people in Alaba area of the state in May.
It was learnt that after the killings, the Officer in charge of SARS, Abba Kyari, began an investigation and Jimoh was arrested along with his friend, Ibrahim Oshilomo. After a search of Jimoh’s home, two masks and guns were found.
